Complex credit instruments head list of bankers' fears

The credit derivatives markets came in for yet more flak last week after a survey revealed that two of the greatest fears facing the banking industry were credit risk and associated financial instruments.

In its annual 'banana skins' poll of bankers, regulators and analysts, the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation (CSFI), a London think-tank, found that concerns about credit risk exposure topped the list of dangers facing the sector.
