Computershare becomes ADR depository

Computershare, the global share registry and services business, has become an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) depository through its US subsidiary, Computershare Trust Company of New York.

The move will enable the Australian company to offer an integrated ADR service to its corporate clients, many of which have ADRs issued in the US market. It follows the US Securities and Exchange Commission's approval for Computershare's existing unlisted ADR program to be administered by Computershare Trust Company of New York.
