Consultant linked to Credit Suisse spying case reported dead

Unidentified consultant who connected bank with private investigators is said to have died by suicide

A consultant who helped Credit Suisse hire investigators to trail the bank’s former wealth management chief died in an apparent suicide last week, a lawyer in Switzerland said Monday night.

The consultant, whose identity is not known by The Wall Street Journal, shot himself on Tuesday, according to Zurich lawyer Thomas Fingerhuth. The Journal could not independently verify the death or its cause late Monday night.
