US agency broker ConvergEx Group has recruited a former senior executive from rival firm KCG Holdings to lead its EU operations, one of several hires as it looks to expand its international business.

The group's UK-based arm, ConvergEx Ltd, appointed Phil Gough as its chief executive officer on January 2, a spokesman for the firm confirmed.
