The level of coronavirus infections in England could still be rising, despite a national lockdown imposed on 6 January, according to a new study.

Researchers at Imperial College London, said swab tests indicate 1.58% of people in England had coronavirus between 6-15 January, with the rate in London standing at 2.8%, with one-in-36 people infected, more than double compared to the previous report in early December.
