With a smartphone you can snap photos, listen to music, check your Facebook account – and approve a $3.7 billion transaction. A growing number of banks are offering transaction banking via mobile devices.

Underlining that this is no novelty, Bank of America Merrill Lynch reports that one user of its CashPro service has indeed approved a $3.7 billion payment using a mobile.
