At the first international corporate venture capital round table held last week, investors identified the need for a European platform for networking and the ongoing exchange of ideas, and to raise issues specific to the corporate venturing market.

The meeting was attended by 30 heads of venture capital investment from corporations across Europe, including Siemens, DaimlerChrysler, GE Capital and Intel. It was hosted by Bertelsmann Capital Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of German media group Bertelsmann.
