Coudert Brothers, the global law firm, has promoted partners Stephen Spinks and Paulette Vander Schueren to newly created positions in line with changes to EU competition law next year.

The appointment of Spinks as head of Coudert's pan-European competition law practice comes ahead of changes to EU competition law in May 2004, which will push responsibility for the enforcement of certain aspects of European law to a national level.
