Supporters of US President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol on 6 December to protest against what they say was a fraudulent victory for President-elect Joe Biden in November’s presidential election.

The US Congress officially declared Biden had won the election at 3:41am US Eastern Time on 7 January after a session that was interrupted by the mob which seized control of the Capitol.
