Court rejects appeal by ex-Barclays trader over Libor conviction

A former Barclays trader jailed for rigging the Libor rate has had an appeal against his conviction rejected after judges dismissed his concerns about a key witness in the case.

Alex Pabon, now aged 39, was convicted in July 2016 alongside three other employees of the bank for their role in manipulating the London Interbank Offered Rate.
