Coutts is making a push to expand its roster of high-earning sports and entertainment clients with a new private banking hire.

The firm, one of the best-known names in UK wealth management, has hired Simon Hopes as market leader for its sports and entertainment business, at a time when increasing transfer fees and player wages in football are attracting widespread media attention.
