Cowen replaces technology head

Cowen has replaced the head of its technology investment banking business following the departure of the previous chief for rival Piper Jaffray, amid a flurry of appointments at the mid-market firm.

David Ketsdever, who will join the bank on July 16, will be responsible for developing its technology sector business and will report to Don Meltzer, head of the investment banking division. He replaces David Castagna who left Cowen in May to become co-head of technology investment banking at Piper Jaffray.
