John Coyle has been promoted to global head of financial sponsors at JP Morgan in New York. He moved to London seven years ago to set up the bank's European financial sponsors business.

Coyle will report to Doug Braunstein, head of the Americas investment banking in New York. A new head of Europe has yet to be announced.
