CQS, the investment company founded by Australian financier Sir Michael Hintze, has hired a group of Hong Kong-based fund managers who worked at hedge fund group City Financial before it went into administration earlier this year.

Geoff Barker will join CQS to manage an Asia macro fund, previously known as Counterpoint, that he helped to set up and run while at City Financial Investment Company, according to his LinkedIn profile.
