Ex-Scotland winger takes wealth role at Standard Life

A former member of the Scottish rugby union team has become the UK private bank's sixth hire this week

Standard Life Wealth has brought in a former member of one of Europe’s most successful rugby union clubs to join its Edinburgh office, in what has already been a week of aggressive hiring by the UK private bank.

Craig Joiner, who won 25 caps playing on the wing for the Scottish rugby union side between 1994 and 2000 and also played for Leicester Tigers, has joined the firm's Edinburgh team as a client portfolio manager.
