Crédit Agricole hit by 27% fall in investment banking profits

Demand for fixed income products at Crédit Agricole Indosuez (CAI), the corporate and investment banking business of Crédit Agricole, failed to offset falling advisory revenues and a 27.3% slump in profits.

CAI posted full year profits for 2002 of €290m ($319m), while the group suffered a 31.9% profit drop, to €1.06bn.
