Credit Suisse has recruited a chief executive of the Americas for its asset management division, following a restructuring of the business this summer which included 300 redundancies.

Keith Schappert formerly ran Federated Investment Advisory Companies, the investment management arm of Federated Investments with $220bn (€172.9bn) under management, as its chief executive and president. He previously was president and chief executive of JP Morgan's investment management division.
