Credit Suisse has strengthened its European commodities joint venture with Glencore International with three hires, including two from Barclays Capital, in its first round of recruitment since Adam Knight joined to lead the division at the start of this month.

Kamal Naqvi joins Credit Suisse as head of hedge fund coverage for the division a fortnight after Knight, a Financial News Rising Star and the former head of global metals trading at Goldman Sachs, joined the Swiss bank to lead its equivalent team. Knight left Goldman late last year.
