Tidjane Thiam, chief executive of Credit Suisse, has hired a top research analyst from Deutsche Bank to advise him on future strategy, following a period of restructuring at the Swiss bank.

Kinner Lakhani, who formerly led Deutsche’s team of analysts covering the financial services industry, has been made head of group strategy and development at Credit Suisse, reporting directly to Thiam. He will relocate from London to Zurich.
