Tidjane Thiam, the chief executive of Swiss bank Credit Suisse, has ruled out running for president in his native Ivory Coast — saying he has no interest in returning to politics.

Thiam, who served as a cabinet minister in the west African nation in the 1990s, made his comments in response to recent speculation linking him to a bid for office in 2020, with incumbent President Alassane Ouattara having already announced he will not seek re-election.
