Credit Suisse has confirmed that its chief operating officer placed a second executive at the Swiss banking group under surveillance earlier this year.

Private detectives spied on Peter Goerke, who was a member of the bank’s executive board at the time, on the orders of Pierre-Olivier Bouée, Credit Suisse said in a statement on December 23.
