Credit Suisse has launched an investigation into claims the Swiss bank hired private investigators to tail a former executive who moved to rival UBS.
The bank issued a statement on September 23 that it was looking into the matter, after a report in the Swiss newspaper, SonntagsZeitung, claimed that Credit Suisse’s head of security authorised three men to follow Iqbal Khan and find out if the banker was trying to recruit Credit Suisse staff to join him at UBS’s wealth management division.
