Credit Suisse Group has appointed Alex Widmer to replace Olivier Steimer as the new head of the company's private banking division.

Steimer, who is a member of the executive boards of Credit Suisse Group and Credit Suisse Financial Services as well as head of the Private Banking International division, has decided to leave the company after 20 years.
