Credit Suisse looks set for its first annual profit since Tidjane Thiam took charge as chief executive in 2015, after a 74% earnings increase in the third quarter. But the restructuring of its investment bank continued to hit revenues.
The Swiss bank said on Thursday that net profit attributable to shareholders was CHF424m($422m) in the three months to the end of September, lower than a CHF449m figure forecast by analysts. Group revenues dipped 1.6% to CHF4.9bn.
