Credit Suisse has agreed to outsource parts of its European structured products business to a consultancy firm, which hopes to build them into a "utility" that will help other banks cut costs too.

The Swiss bank has enlisted the services of consultancy Delta Capita to help provide admin services relating to structured products, which are investments typically sold by banks to retail or high-net-worth investors that use derivatives to track markets.
