Credit Suisse has reported a strong set of results for the first quarter of 2020, despite extreme conditions in markets stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.
The Swiss bank, which released a brief trading statement on its performance in the first two months of the year, ahead of a presentation by its chief executive and chief financial officer at a financials conference in London, said it had enjoyed a combination of good results in its sales and trading division, coupled with higher transaction volumes in its wealth management business.
