On September 18, 2002, we carried a report of industrial tribunal proceedings brought by bond trader Russell Johnston against his former employer Credit Suisse Securities Ltd (CSS).

We are pleased to make clear that, in the course of the proceedings, based on documents put to him in cross-examination, he was persuaded that his allegation that in January 2001 CSS had insufficient capital to cover its liabilities was incorrect and he withdrew it.
