The woman at the centre of an alleged sexual assault at Credit Suisse has rejected the Swiss bank’s offer to pay $100,000 to a charity of her choice, calling the gesture a “superficial” publicity exercise.
The donation was offered by Credit Suisse in August last year when the bank fired a male employee in London in connection with an investigation into the alleged misconduct, according to a person familiar with the matter. The alleged assault took place nine years ago.
