Credit Suisse wins second Wal-Mart mandate in China

Credit Suisse has advised retail giant Wal-Mart on its second deal in China less than a day after the company closed its first acquisition in the country.

Credit Suisse yesterday advised Wal-Mart on its acquisition of a 35% stake in Chinese supermarket chain Bounteous. The deal price was not disclosed but is understood to be about $1bn (€755m).
