The co-head of Credit Suisse's financial institutions group in Europe is leaving the bank in the latest senior departure as UBS continues to integrate with its rival after its historic acquisition.

Israel Fernández, who was hired by the Swiss bank in 2021 after a mass exodus of financial institutions dealmakers to Jefferies, is leaving Credit Suisse, according to people familiar with the matter. Fernández has also updated his LinkedIn profile to say he is on gardening leave.
