Crispin Odey, the Brexit-backing hedge fund manager, has warned of a “revolution” if politicians fail to ensure the UK leaves the European Union — and says a previous report that he was resigned to Brexit’s failure was based on a misunderstanding.

The high-profile investor, who donated generously to the Vote Leave campaign in 2016, was quoted last weekend as saying Brexit “ain’t gonna happen” because “I just can’t see how it happens with that configuration of parliament”.
