A group of British politicians will probe the collapse of German payments firm Wirecard to establish whether a similar scenario could unfold again in the UK’s fintech sector.

The inquiry, by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Challenger Banks and Building Societies, will look into the reasons for Wirecard’s demise and also take evidence from fintech chief executives, including Eduard Panteleev of Anna Money and Virraj Jatania of Pockit.
