Seven UK cryptocurrency firms have joined forces to launch the country's first trade body for the controversial sector at a time when it has been drawing increasing regulatory scrutiny.

CryptoUK's founding members include virtual currency exchange Coinbase, CryptoCompare, which pools live prices and market analysis from global exchanges, and social trading network eToro.
