Crypto firms have warned that prime minister Liz Truss’s resignation risks damaging Britain’s already faltering hopes of becoming a world leader in the fast-developing industry.

“It’s very hard to lure businesses into such a volatile political environment because they’re unable to fully account for the risks,” Charley Cooper, managing director at blockchain firm R3, said.
