Credit Suisse Asset Management has appointed Martha Metcalf, formerly of Invesco, as head and lead portfolio manager of its US high-yield business.

The move is part of CSAM's efforts to bolster its US high-yield debt business. In recent weeks it has hired Michael Plancey to cover cable, telecoms and media; Erik Brovig, for auto manufacturers and general industrials; and Wing Chan as part of its portfolio management and analyst team.
