Credit Suisse First Boston has hired Bob Leonard, formerly an executive director of capital introduction at Morgan Stanley, as its global head of capital introduction within its prime brokerage group.

Capital introduction, which involves investment banks linking up hedge fund managers with potential investors, is becoming an increasingly key aspect of the prime brokerage business as new hedge funds struggle in the most difficult capital-raising environment in recent years.
