CSFB desk assistant to put racism case to tribunal

A Credit Suisse First Boston desk assistant claims he was threatened with physical violence if he were ever to take issue over racist behaviour directed against him.

Philip Karam, 31, of South London, a desk assistant on the UK equities sales floor of CSFB from July 1998 to December 1999, who is still employed by the bank, today won the right to an industrial tribunal, scheduled to start in April 2001.
