Credit Suisse First Boston has recruited Richard Martin, head of fixed-income capital management at BNP Paribas, as a director in its portfolio strategy group in London.

Martin, who will report to Surojit Ghosh, head of fixed income research at CSFB, is a highly respected figure in the credit portfolio risk management sector. He won Risk magazine's quant of the year award in 2002 for a series of articles on the construction of credit portfolio loss distributions by analytical methods.
