Hal Ritch will leave Credit Suisse First Boston to join Salomon Smith Barney in the US as co-head of M&A and a managing director.

He will be working alongside Salomon Smith Barney's two other M&A co-heads, Tom King, and Gregg Polle, and will be based in New York.
