CSFB's Blum to run global debt syndicate at UBS Warburg

UBS Warburg has hired Jeff Blum, who quit as co-head of global high-grade debt syndicate at Credit Suisse First Boston last week, as global head of syndicate.

Blum replaces Richard Johnson, who left UBS Warburg at the start of March and is understood to have retired from the investment banking industry. Johnson rose through the debt syndicate ranks during the Swiss bank's various incarnations - SBC, SBC Warburg, Warburg Dillon Read and UBS Warburg - in the 1990s.
