The £750m (€1.2bn) Cumbria County Council Pension Fund has hired four new managers for its move from a predominantly balanced structure to a specialist one.

Legal & General has been appointed to run a passive core of some £261m, while specialist satellite managers are supplementing this. Putnam Investments will run a £105 global equity mandate, while Rothschild Asset Management will manage £83m in global bonds.
