Currenex hires Carmedelle as chief financial officer

Currenex, the foreign exchange trading portal, has hired Bruce Carmedelle as its new chief financial officer.

The California-based portal, which has said that it would like to go public, recruited Carmedelle from Telephia, a wireless technology firm. He will fill the vacancy left by Mitchell Liss who along with Karen Steele, the company's marketing director, departed earlier this year. At the time Currenex insisted that the departures were due to a necessary reshuffle and did not signal cost-cutting measures.
