Sir Ian Robinson, the chairman of Hilton Group, the UK hotel company, and John Sunderland, executive chairman of Cadbury Schweppes, the UK soft drinks company, have joined the UK advisory board of CVC, the pan-European buy-out firm.

Michael Smith, CVC's chairman, said the pair's corporate experience would help CVC's investment teams assess commercial and industrial issues relating to existing investments and potential acquisition opportunities.
