CVC Capital Partners, a European private equity firm whose US holdings include BJ’s Wholesale Club and consultancy AlixPartners, is expanding its US team that invests in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors.

The London firm recently named Chris Colpitts, formerly the global co-leader of TMT investment banking for Deutsche Bank, as its first US head of TMT.
