Former Virgin Money CEO steps back after being appointed CEO of Salesforce in the UK and Ireland

Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia, the former chief executive of Virgin Money and one of the City’s most high-profile senior women, has withdrawn from a role at the Bank of England after taking a new job heading up the UK operation of Salesforce, the US software group.

Gadhia was appointed a member of the bank’s Financial Policy Committee, which monitors macro-economic and financial problems that might pose a threat to the UK economy, in March. She was due to take up the role in April 2020.
