Danish clearing house installs multicurrency capability

Copenhagen-based Danish Securities Centre has launched a multi-currency capability in clearing and settlement of securities transactions.

The updated systems have a new functionality that will clear and settles transactions in various currencies in the same settlement block, said Johannes Luef, chief executive officer of the Denmark's national clearing house. To date the settlement of foreign currencies has only been possible in separate settlement blocks, he added.
