Danish pension body loses chair to Alfred Berg

Kirsten Fjord is leaving Copenhagen-based Pensionmarketsrådet, the pensions market advisory board, to become chief executive of Nordic asset manangement firm Alfred Berg's new investment vehicle, Banco Invest.

She is giving up her position as chairperson because of what she describes as a conflict of interests. 'As the board is under the supervision of Finanstilsynet, the Danish financial supervisory authority, which is also the secretariat of the board and overseas all investment related issues, I felt I could not fulfil both roles,' Fjord said.
