Top economist departs Oriel Securities

Darren Winder, head of institutional client advisory at Oriel Securities, has left the UK broker and may found his own firm

The head of institutional client advisory at Oriel Securities has left the firm and taken one junior employee with him as he considers establishing his own economic consulting firm.

Darren Winder, who was described as a "pivotal hire" by Oriel chief executive Simon Bragg when he joined from JP Morgan Cazenove in 2010, was removed as a member of the company's management team on its website last week.
