David MacLellan quits Asset Management

David MacLellan is to leave Aberdeen Asset Management after 17 years with Murray Johnstone, the Scottish fund manager bought by Aberdeen last year.

MacLellan was Murray Johnstone's managing director at the time of the takeover and was given a place on Aberdeen's main board by Martin Gilbert, Aberdeen's chief executive. In addition, he remained in charge of Glasgow operations and headed up the private equity and private client businesses.
