Why few banks say Goodbye, Mr Bond

Government bond dealers moan a lot. Particularly the primary dealers that buy new bonds issued by European governments and then sell them on to investors.

They are forever complaining that the governments force dealers to operate at a loss to maintain their position in the sovereigns' good books.
